Yogesh Sharma

Yogesh is the Deputy Managing Partner of BDO in India and leads the TMT sector for India and AsiaPac. He has 24 years of domestic and international experience in providing financial statement audit, accounting advisory and cross-border offering services. 

He assists in managing the assurance, tax, and advisory practices of the firm, executes decisions on governance matters and oversees delivery and quality across engagements. 

Yogesh specialises in providing audit and technical accounting services to attest and non-attest clients. He has worked in various roles with the Indian and US offices of large accounting firms, including being the leader of a professional practice group and managing a large accounting firm's western region audit staff.  

His experience cuts across several industry sectors with a specialisation in Technology and Technology enabled services.  He has acted as a regulatory contact Partner and led Companies’ Act initiatives. 

He has been an Instructor/facilitator for IFRS and US GAAP topics including workshops conducted by ICAI, ICWAI, CCH, D&B, and many other professional organisations.  

Yogesh has authored a publication on JOBS Act and co-authored a book on hedge accounting “Hedging made simple”, published by CCH.
