Nitesh Mehta

Nitesh is a partner with the Deal Advisory practice at BDO India and leads the firm's M&A Tax and Regulatory Services practice. He is based in Mumbai. Based in Mumbai, Nitesh comes with over 26 years of professional consulting experience and has advised large business houses across a wide range of transactions and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining BDO India, he worked with large consulting firms, gaining extensive experience in tax and regulatory advisory. Nitesh specialises in advising corporate and private equity clients on tax structuring for investments, acquisitions, divestments, hive-offs, corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions.

His experience includes advising on and executing complex assignments involving mergers and demergers, internal capital reorganisations, balance sheet right-sizing, minority buyouts, and the establishment of tax-efficient domestic investment and operating structures. In addition to tax advisory, Nitesh has assisted clients on a range of regulatory matters associated with transactions and business restructuring.

His sector experience spans financial services, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, IT/ITeS, media and entertainment, real estate, and manufacturing. Nitesh has also authored articles and spoken at various seminars on tax and regulatory matters.
