Aakash Uppal

Aakash is a Partner & Leader for Corporate Tax with the Tax and Regulatory Services practice for the North region. 

He operates out of the New Delhi office and has over 18 years of professional experience in handling Domestic Tax, International Tax and litigation engagements.  Prior to joining BDO in India, Aakash worked with larger accounting firms in India for more than 15 years.  

He has led several large engagements in India and Internationally across diverse industry verticals like Auto Ancillary, Engineering Services, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Information Technology, etc. 

He regularly advises clients on Permanent Establishment and related international corporate tax issues. Aakash has successfully managed tax litigation matters and regularly argues before the Tax Tribunal, Commissioner (Appeals) and other appellate forums. 

He has contributed to several Indian business newspapers and professional magazines and has also been a speaker for tax topics at several local and national forums.
