Gunjan Prabhakaran

Gunjan is a Partner & Leader with the Indirect Tax practice. 

She operates out of the Chennai office and has over 14 years of experience specialising in GST, pre-GST laws, customs and foreign trade policy-related matters.  

Prior to joining BDO India, she has been a part of a larger accounting firm for a period of 5 years.  

She has undertaken indirect tax advisory and compliance services across various industry verticals, including logistics, healthcare, infrastructure, insurance, advertising, manpower, IT/ ITeS sector, pharmaceuticals and auto ancillary.  

Gunjan has advised and assisted clients in setting up operations in India. She has also handled SEZ and STPI-related advisory, compliance and implementation-related matters on various clients.  

She has extensively handled GST advisory and implementation assignments with marquee clients. She has also been actively involved in advising clients on litigations and representations before the Ministry of Finance.  

She has contributed to Indian business newspapers and professional magazines. She has also been a speaker for tax topics at several local and national forums.
