This edition of the weekly digest highlights:

• AAAR, Maharashtra - No GST will be levied on the membership fee collected, since it is spent towards administrative expenses and not for rendering of any services to its members;
• CESTAT, Hyderabad - CENVAT credit shall not be denied on account of sharing rented office space with sister concerns;
• CESTAT, Mumbai - Education Cess & Secondary and Higher Education Cess (‘EC & SHEC’) not leviable on clearances made to DTA by 100% EOU, since measure of excise duty leviable is aggregate of Customs duty charged on import of like goods.
