Assistant Manager, Thought Leadership – Audit & Assurance (TL Team) – [Quality Assurance and Internal Inspection Role]


  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Additional degrees such as Company Secretary, CPA, CISA/DISA, Diploma / Certification in      IFRS/Ind-AS, etc. would be added advantage

Skills - 

  • Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written),
  • Good drafting skills
  • ​Have the ability to work under pressure under stringent deadlines


  • Candidate should have relevant experience of 3 to 5 years preferably in Audit & Assurance          function in a reputed CA firm.
  • ​Candidate should have sound knowledge of Audit Methodology, auditing standards, accounting  standards (IGAAP, Ind-AS, IFRS and US GAAP), Companies Act, etc.

Thought Leadership Team profile (TL team)

TL team is a central team whose primary role is to assist the Audit & Assurance function of the Firm to ensure adherence to professional standards and other applicable regulations. Its functions include:

  • Advising the audit team and partners PAN India on complex accounting and auditing matters, reviewing modifications to the audit reports, Engagement terms, etc.
  • Analysis of new developments in professional standards, regulatory and legal requirements and guiding the audit teams
  • Conducting Periodic inspection of engagements to ensure quality control is operating efficiently
  • Drafting and implementation of various policies and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements of Professional standards and regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Ensuring the audit team complies with policies and procedures
  • Assisting the Firm in their initiatives to improve audit quality and enhance the audit function.
  • Maintaining the Library (knowledge bank) and circulation of updates to audit teams
  • Preparing internal notes for circulation.
  • Standardisation of Templates and Working Papers for use by Audit & Assurance Team
  • Providing Staff training to Audit & Assurance Team
  • Monitoring the implementation of ISQC1/ISQM1 and ISQM2
  • Conducting Periodic inspection of engagements to ensure quality control is operating efficiently
  • Providing Technical support on Audit tool used by the firm

Assistant Manager (TL Team) Profile - [Quality Assurance and Internal Inspection Role]

  • Assisting inspection of engagements (Cold reviews, Hot reviews), co-ordinating with engagement teams for the same, assisting in rating review comments, grading the files reviewed, performing root cause analysis, assisting in preparing the report for reporting to leadership, planning for trainings basis review findings etc.
  • ISQM implementation – Assisting in drafting policies and procedures, co-ordinating with other service lines, assisting in performing gap analysis in existing polices as per ISQM and drafting updated polices, assisting in performing risk assessment at firm level, testing operating effectiveness of SOQM on periodic basis, carrying our surveys, collating information and assisting in preparing the report for reporting to leadership on compliance with quality standards etc.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be required to lead the overall functions of the TL Team as mentioned above and reporting directly to Director/Partner
